COVID-19 has presents some difficult challenges for the Alaska seafood industry. You have a bunch of people confined together on a boat, doing intense physical labor.
The industry - or at least the responsible players in the industry - by doing full quarantine for everyone who is going to be on ship for 14-days prior to departure. During the quarantine period employees are tested; if someone comes up positive they are removed. I believe that the first campaigns of the season under this protocol are underway. I think this will be an interesting test case for these types of protocols.
