Could Your Credit Card Rewards Disappear?

I know we all use credit cards for their miles programs and other rewards. Well, I just read an article that appeared on Yahoo about credit card rewards. According to the article there's a bill being presented in Congress that will eliminate transaction fees that sellers pay to the credit card companies on each transaction. Read the article to see the follow-on effects of that change.

Its not just earning miles. After USAirways bought AA and slashed the last decent ff program, I switched to flying price instead of airline loyalty, and I switched from mile earning cards to cashback cards. Earning 2% in cash of each dollar is better than earning a mile per dollar, whose max value is 2 cents, and often is less. I suspect the cash back cards would be popped, too.
