Last year I attempted to make a reservation for Sea Watch Plantation in
Myrtle Beach. At 12 1/2 months out I thought it would not be an issue.
Needless to say, when I called the CSR, all month of July was booked
up. Here I am an owner and could not get into my home deeded resort.
Later I found out that all the Myrtle Beach resorts have the same APR
privelges the same as my request. Many folks were trading in from both
the Westwinds and Ocean Blvd. It appears that there is a strong desire
to go to Sea Watch for a variety of reasons.
ALso, at this year's members update, I was told there was a program to
exchange your deed from one's original resort to another, specificlly
Sea Watch, for a fee which was stopped due to overwhelming response.
Based on these two events I'm wondering if there are now more owners
that weekly spots for an owner to reserve?
You don't know how upsetting it is to not be able to make a reservation
at your home resort when you want to go there, especially 12 1/2 months
away. I was told by someont that you must call 13 months out, on the
morning at 8 AM to ensure your spot?
Is this behavior consistent with the timeshare management practices?
Thanks in advance.
