I think this might be a good idea, but hard to follow. In my area, by the time it would be reported, the available stock would be all gone.

One would think that at some point EVERYONE who is hoarding has every nook and cranny full of the stuff and quit buying! I know I haven't bought anything in a couple of weeks and have barely made a dent in my stash. I have gone to the store and replenished mostly perishables. But in case of a complete lock down and the closure of all stores (highly unlikely imo) we could lock the doors and stay in for 3-4 weeks or even longer if we had to substantially change the diet and dip into the 'emergency' stash.

I can hardly wait until a cure/vaccine is widely available and the 'ALL CLEAR' has sounded and people begin discarding all the stuff they hoarded. 2 weeks after that, Weight-Watchers will hammer us with 'lose weight' ads.

My grandmother was raised in the depression era and spent the rest of her life pinching pennies (even when she was well off). Likewise, I predict this generation will be stocking up on toilet paper the rest of their lives!

Good point and since we moved, we don’t have the room. We were down to our last 5 rolls of TP, my wife was talking to my daughter in Denver and she was able to send us some. Then I came into work today and we have some to sell to employees. Sleeves of 24 or 96. I did take 24, even though that is more than I hope to need. I was thinking more about 12. I may split it with someone if they don’t need 24 also. But then again, I haven’t seen any for the last three weeks at our SafeWay.
