Costco in Australia

Yes they have Costco in Australia. I believe 10 or 12 of them. While we were in Melbourne we visited one on a rainy day. It was at the end of a Tram Line. Most of the items were very similar to a USA Costco. Though there more Asian choices. They had the Food Court. The Dog and Drink actually came out to slightly less that $1.50 at the current exchange rate. But the dogs were Pork and not Beef. No Deli Mustard and the Mustard they did have was runny. Neither of us enjoyed them. The Rotisserie Chicken came out to just under $4.99. They had a very good selection of High Quality Liquor. Very few American Wines but lots of European and Australian Wines.

Costco Australia is run by an Australian Corporation, different from Costco in the USA. Just like with Costco in Mexico and Canada, they have a similar but slightly different business model. Nice that you enjoyed visiting there.

Costco Australia is run by an Australian Corporation, different from Costco in the USA. Just like with Costco in Mexico and Canada, they have a similar but slightly different business model. Nice that you enjoyed visiting there.

Yes, it's a licensed connection, so I'd expect some Kirkland-branded items. I wonder if they have any Australia-only Kirkland branded things? Like Vegemite or whatever. Come to think of it, I wonder if they have packaging and such that is brand-specific? I saw Kirkland-branded Jelly Belly jellybeans in the Costco in Vancouver last weekend that was not the six-sided plastic box with red top like they are in the States. These were a smaller volume, and were in a soft-sided zip-top bag. Of course, everything in Canada also had dual language labeling. So there are some differences, I guess.
