I have a couple of generic Wyndham deposits. I cannot trade them online.
Will I still get charged the larger exchange fee for telephone exchanges? It hardly seems fair since it's impossible to trade online.
I realize that fairness doesn't matter much in business, but if you have the answer to my question I'd really appreciate knowing what's propr before I call!

My RCI VC on the Wyndham desk charged me $164 last night to use a generic Wyndham deposit to book an RCI exchange which I was holding with a "visible" deposit from Wyndham.

New Fee structure....I guess they did change and I didn't know it.....

Exchange Fees - Transactions made on RCI.com:

US/ Canada
Domestic: $164 USD Domestic: $173 CAD
International: $164 USD International: $173 CAD

Exchange Fees - Transactions made by phone:

US/Canada

Domestic: $189 USD Domestic: $199 CAD
International: $189 USD International: $199 CAD

Since we have NO option to book our generic deposits online, we might very well get stuck with the extra $25. One could argue, that you have no choice in the matter. Has anyone tried that?

If I had used the visible deposit from Wyndham to book with the RCI VC - he would have charged me $189.

Sandy: it appears that, as long as you are calling the Wyndham line, and exchanging a generic (not a visible or some other non-wyndham week) you are charged the on-line fee.

Of course, YMMV.

That should make sense as you have NO online option.

I know with HGVC if the site is down etc, They provide me the online rate, NOT the phone in rate.
