I'm thinking of buying additional developer points directly from whyndham in order to achieve their platinum status. I know the price is negotiable. Can anyone share how much they paid for their developer points (and the month/year purchased) so I have an idea of what to negotiate for?

Thank you!

How many do you need?

If just a few I'd say go for it.
probably do 105000 points for $ 15000

The 20 additional guest confirms is worth $2000 a year to me. That and the added discount would probably add up to a 5 year payback

I'd think real hard if you needed more than that
