I am new to this forum and hope I'm in the right area for my question. We have been owners in Auba for 12 years- and recently my husband passed away. I've been in touch with my resort - and need to send paper work to change the name. They've asked for the share certificate - but I can't find it - all I have is a copy of purchase and finance agreement and all the copies of the money orders. Our two weeks have been long payed for but my concern is the share certificate. Is there some way I can get a copy of this and if so where. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I am going there this year for wks 13 & 14 but would like to figure this out before I go. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi and welcome to TUG :hi: - In the US, your deed would be recorded with the County Recorder's Office, but I'm not sure this is a deeded timeshare, or how it works in Aruba?

I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm glad that you are going to keep traveling!

I'm guessing it's not deeded property. Just tell them you lost it. They'll likely send some sort of indemnity agreement, an extra document to get notarized and there might be a fee for a bond.

I can't imagine it's that uncommon.

Thanks for your response and kind words. I do believe our timeshare is deeded - I'll contact the home resort again and see what I can find out.
