Thanks for the correct information about the Sanibel Causeway.From what I understood, the bridges were ok after the storm, it was the land sections of the causeway that were badly damaged. Much easier to provide a temporary fix to that vs. having to fix a bridge.

I think what may have caused confusion is that several of the immediate approaches to the bridges was where there were complete washouts, so it could be confused for damage to the actual bridges themselves.
