Converting ownership to Bonvoy points - points expiration

Sorry if this was already discussed in another thread. I searched but was unable to find anything.
If I convert my week to Bonvoy points, the terms and conditions indicate that I have to use the points within six years. Does anyone know exactly how this is enforced? Say I already have 500k Bonvoy points in my account and convert my week (worth 150k Bonvoy points). So now I'd have 650k total points. The next time I make a Bonvoy reservation, will the system automatically use my converted points first, or do I have to use the the 500k points first in my account before the converted points are used? Thanks!

it is supposed to use the quickest expiring points first, but unless you make a single reservation for the full amount of transferred points, I don't see how they could keep track if there are multiple reservations in your account and you have a bunch of book/cancel/rebook and earn actions. that activity would effectively launder the points,

and experience shows their IT can't handle doing expiring SNA's in the right order, so heaven forbid they have to handle keeping track of something with more than quantity 10..
