Contact number for KCR II-request a unit?

I have an exchange into KCR II starting 1/4/09. It's a 2BR unit and we'll have our 10 yr. old grandson. I typically like to call a resort one or two weeks in advance to request a specific unit or building. Is this the number I'd call? 808/324-1721

Second, has this strategy worked for you? I want to get a unit facing the golf course & ocean (bldg. 23>26?).

If you already have an exchange, it's likely to be through an exchange company for a unit already deposited. My guess is that KCII will hold your actual exchange until you arrive and will not give you special preference. I speak as an Elite Shell owner with long experience with KCII. There are fewer 2 br units available. But your chances for a golf course or ocean view (over the golf course) are good. My Shell number for exchange & travel is 800-443-2177. Check with your exchange company.
Also, most units are associated with particular days check it - so with a Sunday arrival, not all units are available.

That's a good point. I think most check ins occur on Sat. Oh well, all I can do is try.
