Hi all! Really appreciate all the great info available in this forum. I've learned a lot but there are still some questions I have regarding a potential purchase of WRF 2/2 lockoff deeded annual floating Platinum Plus week.

We have stayed at the WRF for many years now in the hotel, and over the last several years we've settled on the week around Valentine's Day as the week we would like to book each year.

How difficult will it be to get that week each year?

How far in advance are we able to book, and are any other programs available to book before the deeded owners?

Any historical maintenance fee info? (2024 is already paid, and the contract from the resale agent shows it estimated to be $2,581 in 2025.)

Are there any limitations on annual MF increases?

Also, is there ever any one-off assessments, or are all of those covered by the MF?

And am I understanding correctly from other posts here that you can book the one-bedroom one week and the lockoff a different week?

Is self parking free to deeded owners?

Thank you so much in advance for any guidance. We're excited to potentially own but want to get these questions answered before we take the plunge.

FYI, the sales price is $16,500.

I don't know all the answers, but here is what I know:

Are there any limitations on annual MF increases?
I don't think any of the Westin (MVC?) timeshares have a limit on MF increases.

And am I understanding correctly from other posts here that you can book the one-bedroom one week and the lock-off a different week?
You understand correctly. I have a studio reserved for October and could stay in a 1BR (or even another studio for longer) a different week. I don't own there, just exchange in. I made my October reservation a couple of weeks ago. It is the luck of the draw, though, because I tried to reserve an additional room and apparently the studio I got was the last opening. Owning there would let you reserve 12 months out. In Hawaii you need to make your reservation at midnight Florida time exactly 12 months out for the most desirable week.

Is self parking free to deeded owners?
Yes. I have used Staroptions and there is no parking fee even for an exchanger. Parking is convenient in the underground garage. right by the elevators to the timeshare.

This is a beautiful property. I enjoy going there. We don't ski, so that makes it easier to exchange in other seasons. It is a small property so there is a lot of demand for the few units that they have. As you know, it is convenient to the gondola going up to Beaver Creek.

There is some competition at exactly 12 months out to get a unit at any Westin with Staroptions. You will be in competition with those folks for reservations, but you won't have SO's. This is such a good question and hopefully you will get answers from others who own weeks without SO's.

My experience is with Westin Desert Willow in Palm Desert. I thought I would have a tough time reserving a week, but I didn't have a tough time at all. I booked a high-season week easily. I was able to book the entire lockoff unit at WDW for 2/15-2/22/2025, President's Week. I was thrilled because I believe it will rent. I am not asking much over MF's.
