We own a Marriott Grande Vista Gold 2 bedroom lock off and I always lock it off and deposit both weeks into Interval. Since 2007 we have had 14 weeks of vacations including extra weeks given to use for $219 by Interval (accommodation certificate). We've traded the one bedroom or the lock off for:

3 times into Marriott Newport Coast 2 bedroom Jan/Feb
once into MGV 2 bedroom August
3 times into M Grande Ocean 2 bedroom March or October
2 times into Imperial Palms 3 bedroom Spring break
once into Aruba Surf Club lock off July (only time we traded down)
2 time into Hyatt Carmel Highlands 1 bedroom February and March
once into Kauai Waiohai 2 bedroom October
once into M Ocean Pointe 2 bedroom January

I think that our unit has amazing trading power plus I'm pretty good at trading in the 59 day flexchange. I've only used the interval request 2 times.

Like the next post says, it will pass ROFR at $1 because it is not worth the cost of maintenance fees. Look on Ebay; most of the silver weeks either do not trade or sell for $1 Renting timeshares now is so easy and cheap, I don't know why you would want to own anything but a platinum week.

Why not buy platinum at today's Price

Check out this thread with a Manor Platinum week selling for $209. I have seen Grande Vista Platinum for $2,000 or less on Ebay

In fact I just checked and found this 2br Cypress Harbour Platinum just traded for

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2BR-DISNEY-...00668036718?pt=Timeshares&hash=item2eb8bf3e6e $244.50

I bought from Carefree Journeys and closing went fine. Do yourself a favor and look at platinum completed auctions to get a sense of the real market.
