Looking to stay at this property for a special occasion, specifically a water villa. Reviews seem very good, but I was wondering if there was any advice from someone that has been there. Should we do a water villa for 4 nights and a beach villa for 3, or just stay put. Also open to any other hotel suggestions as this would be our first time to Maldives.
That one has been on my bucket list for a while. Great redemption value for HHonors points, considering the rooms are typically $1000/night. I've never been there, though. From what I understand, it's expensive to get there and expensive to eat while you're there.
There's an extensive thread on FlyerTalk.com about the resort. There's a second Hilton family resort there as well, I think.
A few credit card apps can get you the points to fly free on United at 120,000 miles round trip first class. As far as resorts the Waldorf and the Hyatt are aspirational properties worthy of redemptions. If you call Hyatt the nice lady might even give you the package with free breakfast and a spa credit at no additional charge. If you get the Hyatt card you can get two nights free.
I spent most of my day on the beach with my iPad planning a trip of my own to the Maldives.
