Confirming blocked areas on Accomodation Certificates

Any advice on who to ask for at Interval International that could confirm that an area is not blocked on my accomodation certificate?

I received an accomodation certificate with a lot of areas in Mexico showing up on grid for December, but certificate details blocks a lot of them out (puerta vallarta, mayan riveria, acapulco, etc,...) for December 18 to 31 time period. The certificate details; however, do not block out cancun for christmas and new years and as such I should be able to see availability based on my trading power of the AC.

I have been looking for five months and I have never seen any availability for cancun (I would at least expect to see the studios with mandatory all inclusive charges that I can see with my other trader as they have very low trade power), but have seen absolutely nothing, and I suspect that the whomever "programmed" the certificate has added a filter for Cancun in addition to other places in Mexico.

I have tried speaking/explaining to exchange advisors and internet support which has been a very frustrating experience that has gone nowhere.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm not sure how you have determined what the trading power of your AC is (as you suggest above).

But FWIW, I have an AC with similar restrictions, and I do see Christmas and New Year's weeks at 5 AI resorts in Cancun right now. All studios.

If you have an AC that allows you to put in a request, I would recommend putting in a request for resorts which you believe are allowed ( and/or which you can see with another week) and wait to see if you get a match. I questioned a similar thing lately. I was advised that each type of AC has its own inventory attached to it; hence why you can see some inventory with one AC but not on with another AC (even though both ACs may have the same location for the same month on their grids).

We wanted Thanksgiving weekend with a check in Thursday or Friday using our AC. The rules did not have those dates blacked out for our location but we could only see Saturday and Sunday check-in's on line with the AC. After putting in a request we finally got a Friday check In. We had to refuse some trades as initially our request had not been properly restricted to Thursday or Friday and we kept Receiving Saturday/Sunday check ins. On the 4th time we received a Friday checkin and took it.

I have put in an ongoing search. This is one of the things that has added to my frustration/confusion. I put several units in for Cancun and Mayan Riviera. The request allows/accepts the Mayan Riviera units even though they are specifically blacked out on the certificate (and confirmed with an advisor that they will never be filled).

I appreciate that one can never know the exact trading power of a week whether it is a certificate or a regular week; however, based on a combination of discussions on this board about the II all inclusive's not being a very good deal and the small size of a studio these are typically much lower demand (I have been able to see them with a virtually useless AC I received for some other II promotion), so I thought I should at least be able to see this availability.

I just figured it is always possible that someone could make a programming/data entry error. When an advisor makes an error with a search request with either the dates, number in party, resort code (and this has happened on more than one occasion in my experience), at least it is possible to verify the details online by reviewing the request. There really does not appear to be a way to confirm that the certificate details match/agree to the filters that have been programmed with the AC online.
