Confirmation of Reservation @ Harborside

Hello,

I have a quick question. Does Starwood usually send a confirmation of your reservation via e-mail? I got an exchange into Harborside for May of 2009 and have received no verification yet. They gave me the confirmation # when I called to reserve and that's it. :confused:

Starwood has a problem with their email system - you should call and ask them to send you a hard copy of the reservation.

Starwood will not print confirmations that are confirmed through outside agencies.

They will send an email confirmation of an II exchange; I've done this before successfully. In fact, it's usually a better confirmation format since it also confirms the view.

This was an internal exchange, not thru II. It is my first internal exchange and I was surprised not to get some kind of confirmation. I'm going to call them today and see if they can mail it to me. At least, I have a confirmation number.

I will be trying for early June'09, so that gives me hope that it can be done. Did you call or do this on-line? Did you get your first pick of date? Any pointers would be helpful. Congrats again. I hope you get your confirm. #. :)

hefleycatz- Per the suggestion of fellow tuggers, I was on the phone at 8:59 AM eastern on Sept 2nd, which is exactly 8 months to the day of my travel which is May 2, 2009. I had two phone lines going (at work) with the number programmed, so if one was busy I could just hit the other line and it dialed automatically. I got right in and got the reservation I wanted, Sat to Sat. I consider myself very lucky and we are very excited. This is our first trip to the Bahamas and we're going with our adult children and my 6yr granddaughter. Good luck with your reservation, hope you get it.

BTW, I called Starwood for my confirmation notification yesterday and the email showed up within minutes of my call. They said they'll also mail me a hard copy. Whew!! She said the first email was sent but I never got it. Oh well, I'm all set now. :whoopie:
