The bar across the bottom of my screen showing the program icons (senior moment...can't think what it is called!) covers the bottom part of the website page. I cannot get to words at end of an order, such as "continue" nor can I see the choices for downloads. What did I do wrong?

In Win7, go to the taskbar, right click a blank portion of the taskbar and uncheck "Lock the taskbar". Once unlocked, you should be able to move your mouse to the edge of the taskbar and resize.

I did that but the task bar would not minimze even though the minimize arrow was there. What I did was change the screen resolution. That seems to be OK now. Thank you.

Press Alt-spacebar; Now press M. Or, if you can see the title bar, click the icon in the upper LEFT corner of a window and then click Move.

Now let go of the mouse and use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the window around on the monitor. You can reach the bottom even if it's not visible at first. When you can see a bottom corner, you can grab it to resize the window.

This control mode ends when you click the mouse anywhere in the window.

Similar things can be done to the size of the window by clicking on Size instead, and then using the arrow keys.

A good explanation:
