I'm pretty sure you can attend anything you want. It's not that you are an Oregon resident, it's that they don't have a real estate license in Oregon. Real estate laws vary by state and Oregon's rules may be stricter than most. They are probably prohibited from having any type of sales discussion with you on the phone (or mail or email) while you are physically in Oregon.
This all changes once you cross the state line. If you visit one of their properties (where they obviously have a state license), everyone is treated the same.
The first time I ever called Marriott Telesales, they would not give me any specific sales data on the phone - because I was calling from Oregon. Several months later I bought a Marriott resale. Once I was in their system as an owner, they could tell me anything I wanted over the phone. It seems that once you are a "member" or "existing customer", they can speak to you freely.
