New to the timeshare world but thanks to TUG have purchased and rescinded my SVN purchase. Now looking at the resale world. Can anyone tell me whether there is a way to find out what resales have actually sold for? I guess comparable to a "comp" listing in buying real estate. Am specifically looking at Kierland in Scottsdale as I guess the state may factor in.

Thanks for any help.

you should ask on the SVO forum.

short answer is no - not exact amounts in form of comp list, but we have good idea of approximate purchase amount (resale) - at least for Plat+ season at WKV (Westin Kierland). The other seasons may not be worth purchasing. IMO

There are some brokers who are TUG members who handle higher end TSs, like Starwood, Hyatt, Hilton They will give you accurate information.

On eBay, to check actual sales prices, sign on, then enter the resort name I n the search window, then scroll down the left side to 'Completed Auctions' That will give you comparables.

If you are looking at the completed listings on Ebay, ignore bcsrentals. They are not a reputable seller and no one has ever reported on here actually closing and getting a timeshare transferred to them.

If you mention the size and season, someone here could probably give you a ball park figure on what to expect to pay.

Looking at listings on TUG, these list for 16,500 to 18,000 for this season. But I see Buy/wish adds for this same unit. Are these bottom fishers?

Redweek is also a good proxy for market value. WKV 2BR platinum for anything less than $16k is a good deal.
