I found a "Comp exchange" listed in our RCI account today. First time I ever have seen this:

The following weeks cannot currently be exchanged online. Please call 1-800-338-7777 to search against these.

Comp Exchange
Relation# Travel From Travel To Description
00013 07/01/2008 12/31/2009 DBW BKLY/BLGR 0-45DAY(LON US#3618)

Any explanations would be helpful.

Thanks. :)

I got one recently, apparently as a thank you for depositing a summer Cape Cod week.

You wouldn't expect it to have much trading power, but I phoned and learned I could trade it for a week at Grand Mayan Cabos (a March week too, but unfortunately not the week I needed).

So when you see a bulk deposit on Tug, make the call!

To break down the code - this is the 13th unit in your account (though you may or may not be able to account for all the previous 12).

00013 07/01/2008 12/31/2009 DBW BKLY/BLGR 0-45DAY(LON US#3618)

It was deposited in the month of July, and is good through the end of 2009.

DBW suggestst Developer Bonus Week - were you told when you purchased that your week was entitled to bonus weeks (it's a ploy used to claim RCI values your week more - it just means they're giving you a credit for one of the excess inventory the developer deposited during sales).

Did you deposit a Berkely Group or Bluegreen week? I know both groups have been known to use developer bonus weeks, and BKLY/BLGR suggests one of those two.

0-45 suggests to me that it might be something that can only be reserved within 45 days

These are just one of several types of weeks that end listed online - One plus One weeks show up there. If you book and then cancel a last call week, you will see something there then too.

Thanks for the input. My wife bought at Massanutten several years before we were even married. Have been actively exchanging weeks for 5 years now. I assumed that it was something that could only be booked 0-45 days out as well. Also thought maybe just a ploy yo get us to call RCI since our member ship is set to expire soon!
