Communications info added to directory?

Madge,

I think it would be helpful if information about the availability of high-tech communications would be added to the resort directory. I would like to know in advance if there is cellular coverage in an area, and if there is internet access. For internet access, I would like to know some details, e.g. broadband, dialup, wireless, in the room with one's own computer, in the lobby with or without one's own computer, fee or free, etc.

Could this information be considered as an addition to the online (and perhaps the printed) directory?

EAM,

I can certainly forward the suggestion. Many hotels offer high speed Internet access now.

However, it's important to mention that adding any new piece of information for all 3,800+ resorts requires that our resort liaisons globally verify the information and manually add it to each resort's profile. The overall demand for high speed access among RCI members may not support this yet. Less than 10% of our member base currently does business online via rci.com.

I will also suggest that we add a notation to its profile if we learn that no cellular coverage is available at a particular resort.
