Combining two Lagunamar trades

If I have two II trades for the same week, a 1 BR and a studio, can I get them combined into a 2 BR lockoff? Can II handle this or do I need call/email the resort? Thanks!

For your last question : we just asked at check in. Interval has no say in room assignments

I was able to do this with two II getaways when we stayed at WLR last Nov. I emailed the resort after booking the getaways and asked them link together into a 2 bedroom. I also followed up with a phone call a week before check-in. I’ve also done this with stays at WKV. Never had any issue getting them combined into a 2 bedroom.
