i was able to make a total of three separate reservations for six consecutive nights in Nanea for the same room type. Has anyone ever done this and then be able to combine these consecutive reservations into one? Technically with three reservations we might need to switch rooms so we want the reservations combined...

We have, all 2BR resort view:
Reservation 1) 6/23-6/24
Reservation 2) 6/24-6/26
Reservation 3) 6/26-6/29

never done it but I would assume unlikely, as each reservation was what specific unit was available (ie not used in someone else's reservation), so no single unit was available for the entire duration...

Makes sense if that’s how they do it. But I assumed the reservations worked more like hotels, as in reservations are not for specific units (like a traditional timeshare is). Because if I search for cash reservations the whole week is available. I’m pretty sure cash rooms and owner rooms are not physically separate.

You can call and ask the agent to try combining them. They will send a request to inventory management and you will hear back within a day or two. I've done this on multiple occasions and have always had success, but I assume the manual intervention is needed because inventory management has to re-shuffle other reservations to ensure a single unit is available.

We have done it with Hyatt. If they at all can they will keep you in the same unit. It's to their benefit too, less housekeeping

cash rooms and owner rooms are separate inventory, so effectively separate units. if you see six days in a row in a cash room, that does not imply you can get six days in a row in an owner room...

We have done this but it was at Nanea where we own 2 weeks & we are 5*(YMMV). They can only do this 1-2 days before arrival and there is no guarantee. If there are open "Hotel" rooms and SO inventory I believe they can combine at the resort management level.

I was missing a room in my reservations. The agent told me if it shows up in inventory to call up and combine it. If the can they will.
