We will be headed to Coconut Plantation for 6 nights in October. We will have an almost 7 year old and twin toddlers (will have just barely turned 3). My parents will be there at least 3-4 nights.

Since it should be slow season, I don't think it'll be terribly difficult to socially distance while we enjoy the pool / lazy river. I think we'll try to spend a day or two using the water park amenities at the Hyatt Regency and we will definitely get a beach day or two in.

What are some of the activities that you think a young family would enjoy in the area? I think we may enjoy going to Sanibel as I think my 7 year old would enjoy shelling.

Any must try restaurants that we should try for takeout?

Anything that you would consider a must do or see in the area?

Thanks!

You will have a great time. Good chance of finding shells on the private beach. There is a play area at coconut mall and at Miramar outlets. Mini golf in area too. Naples zoo. Airboat ride out at lake Travis

Thank you! This is great at advice. The play areas may be out this trip due to COVID, but I suspect we will return in the not too distant (and hopefully safer) future.

I really think the kids would enjoy an airboat ride. I may have to look into that.
