Looking for people who have stayed at these properties. I’ve been going back and forth for days reading forums. I’ll have a car so parking will be a factor. I’m not too concerned about walk to the beach but would like to know how crowded they are at each property. But any overall information is greatly appreciated.

If you prefer a guaranteed ocean front unit, then you'll have one at Towers on the Grove since they are some designated that way. Most of the units at Seawatch are in 2 tall towers and there's no point distinction between ocean front & ocean view. Most of the units at Seawatch in the tall towers will have an ocean view, not a full view of the ocean. There are also villa units at Seawatch which will have no ocean view. They will have a little less points than the tall tower units but generally a little nicer.

Generally speaking there would be less points needed to book the same size unit at Seawatch vs. Towers on the Grove. However, the units at Towers on the Grove are nicer.

As far the crowding at the beach, Towers on the Grove should have more space since the beach is wider than Seawatch.

You mentioned parking - not an issue at either since both have free parking in a garage. We have never had trouble finding a spot.
My grandkids prefer Seawatch as it is a larger resort with more pools, hot tubs, lazy rivers and activities.
Location wise - Seawatch is at south end of North Myrtle whereas Towers is near north end. South end is where restaurant row is, also Barefoot Landing. Then more stuff further south like Broadway and the boardwalk.
One suggestion on Towers - checkout the room layout if you can. We once stayed in an oceanfront unit where the balcony was off the master bedroom only and the living room was between it and the kitchen - with no windows. We were told Towers used to be a condo and some of the rearrangements were less than ideal.

Location matters with these two resorts because traffic in the Myrtle Beach region can be significant, especially around dinner time or if there are special events going on in the city. If you plan to take in shows or attractions down in the Myrtle Beach, or if you are traveling with people (especially kids) who want all the activities and resort recreation opportunities at the resort, then SeaWatch would be my first pick. But if your travel group is mostly adults who are interested in a nice resort on a quieter, less crowded beach (and you plan to mostly visit North Myrtle Beach restaurants and/or attractions), then Towers would be my first pick. FYI, Ocean Boulevard is by far the most crowded of the MB area Wyn resorts, IMO. YMMV.

I have a couple follow-up questions to Anw015's original question. My wife & I are going to Myrtle Beach in Nov and are planning to stay at the SeaWatch resort. 1) Does anyone know what the general population is for Nov (re: lighter than summer yet still crowded, etc.)? 2) Is there any way to guarantee an ocean view or is there a chance that we'll have a parking lot view?

Thanks in advance.

Most units at Seawatch are either oceanfront or ocean view. I’ve stayed there more times than I can count and have always had an ocean view. Not sure about November, but I would think it would certainly be less crowded than summer or early fall….
Have fun! Seawatch is our favorite of the Wyndham Myrtle Beach resorts. It has great pools and great beach access.

Thank you! It will be our first time at Myrtle Beach and we're really looking forward to it.

We haven't been to Myrtle Beach since 2010 but used to go sometimes twice a year. In mid to later May and sometimes again in September or October. We're hoping to get back this year.

Hoskins restaurant was one of our favorite places to eat. They have great lunch specials. When we stayed at Ocean Boulevard sometimes DH would walk down to bring us back lunch to eat on the beach. You can view the menu on their website. The lunch specials used to include ice tea, biscuits and corn muffins and likely still do but the drink wasn't included if you got lunch to go. On Sundays the coconut cake was included but dessert wasn't included on the other days. Their peanut butter pie was excellent. The after Church crowd comes on Sundays and the line goes clear down the front of the building so plan accordingly if you plan to go on Sunday.

The 1 bedroom ocean view units are really nice (though small) at Towers on the grove. Here is a video showing the unit. All of the ocean view units are corner units with floor to ceiling windows.

If you have kids then I would say Seawatch. Much more going on and my kids enjoy the games and movies they can check out from the activities desk.
