Pure BS from sales - the T&L purchase has zero impact on the Wyndham Destinations timeshare entity itself. Best course of action is to ignore them and move on and enjoy your vacations!

As others have said, you never have to do an update to maintain anything with your VIP. These are just scare tactics. I have spent the last 2 weeks between San Antonio La Cascada and Austin, and at both locations they were very persistent to the point of annoyance, but both knew when to give up the fight, were respectful and didn't lie. The one at Austin, once he realized there was nothing he could do to get me to attend an update, was pretty helpful as far as making recommendations for the area, food, etc. So I at least give some of them credit for actually being consierge's, which is what they are actually supposed to be...

BTW, this is my first time at the Austin resort, and I have nothing but good things to say about the resort and it's location. Parking in the city, and the associated costs is another story, but that's not the fault of the resort...

My last check-in, it was MANDATORY to come sign some papers as they were transitioning to a new accounting system GENESIS? and if I didn't get the update I'd not be able to use my membership AT ALL

Yeah, right, don't call my unit
