I am usually NOT an impulsive person, but they caught me this past weekend at Bonnet Creek, lol. I just sent in my recission letter today (UPS today--USPS Certified tomorrow), so I 'should' be out of this contract I would hope since I'm well within my (10) days. I'm an Owner of DVC right now (resale), and really like the Bonnet Creek resort, and would like to look into that timeshare--RESALE this time, lol. I'm used to the DVC sites for resale--but don't really see any for Club Wyndham? Just a few for sale on Ebay, but rather not go that route. Glanced on here, and didn't see any on here either (but I'm brand new--so could have missed it).

Anyone a Club Wyndham resale owner here???

Wyndham deeds are only worth a few dollars, so there isn't much of an incentive for a broker to carry them. Many of us have bought via ebay, and you will probably find some listed here at the TUG marketplace.

Thank you!!! Was kinda scared of Ebay--as I wasn't sure if they would have the closing agent? And to be honest, just a little leery of buying through Ebay, as I don't want ripped off with points, contract, etc.

With that said, did your resale come with the RCI exchange too--or do you lose that benefit buying resale? Anything that didn't get included? What was the closing time--before you could book a trip?

What is your opinion on CW? We will be pretty easy, as most of our bookings will be at Bonnet Creek during their 'value' season, so hoping availability is never a concern for us.

So I bought on eBay. Depending on the number of points or MF per point it can cost a bit. That said, I'd also look at the giveaways here on the free timeshare forums, they do show up here too. It takes "forever" - 6ish months, and then you may not get the points till the next year, so I'd plan on a long time before you could book. If you were to start the transfer like NOW, you'd probably be able to log in and look to book June of 2025, but if you wait till Jan/Feb of 2025, your login would happen (and you'd pay MFs) in maybe August 2025, but wouldn't get the points to make a booking till January 2026.

Aside from the issues around the transfer, the only thing I'm aware of you don't get is VIP status resale. You do get RCI.

thank you!!!! I did see a couple listings that caught my eye.....so I reached out to them already.

Just curious, what do you mean 'it can cost a bit'? Meaning, there is the cost of the contract, then closing and estoppel (like under $800 for both). Are there other 'hidden' fee's I need to be aware of??

No, just that my "quick" purchase for 405,000 pts cost $1,200 to buy and an additional $800 in the fees for closing and Wyndham transfer fee. I had bid on a really low MF contract for 308,000 and it ended up going for $2,300 IIRC just for the contract. So basically, Wyndham can be free if it's CWA (mid-high MFs to point) especially small point contracts, or if you wait to see someone give away on TUG. Otherwise there seems to be a bit of a cost $1k to $3k depending on how desirable the contract is for points and/or low low MFs for a "right now" buy.

Many ebay sellers are clearinghouses for "postcard companies"---outfits that promise to get owners out of timeshares for a hefty fee. They will usually insist you use their designated closing company. These closing companies are not at arms length with the seller, so they don't offer much protection, but you are talking about a small enough amount of money that even if it goes sideways, it's not a huge loss.

With that said, did your resale come with the RCI exchange too--or do you lose that benefit buying resale? Anything that didn't get included? What was the closing time--before you could book a trip?
An RCI account is included as part of your Program Fee. This is unlikely to change, because the same company owns Wyndham and RCI. Individual exchanges do cost money. Resale points do not count towards (and cannot benefit from) any tiered recogntion levels (what Wyndham calls "VIP"), and cannot be used to book Worldmark resorts via Club Pass. Figure on at least six months from buying to having an account. It could be faster, but it probably won't be.

Before you buy anything, I would strongly encourage you to read the Owner information section of the Wyndham Club Directory. Unfortunately, the link is broken right now, but you can normally find it here, no login required: https://clubwyndham.wyndhamdestinations.com/us/en/publications

What is your opinion on CW?
I've stayed at probably ten different resorts. I like the system a lot. There is a good mix of different kinds of locations, and for me the resorts hit a nice compromise between luxury and cost.

I'd also look at the giveaways here on the free timeshare forums,

Adopting a contract here on tug is definitely a great way to start- just do your research on what works best for you and your family.

Club Wyndham Access vs Club Wyndham Select. Trust based ownership vs deed based ownership. Here's a link to the Club Wyndham membership directory - head to page 299 and start reading on the ownership types available and how the system works, up through page 337 altogether. Once you do this, you should have a fairly good grasp of how Club Wyndham works, what ownership types are available, what the rules are, how the program itself works, how to use points, exchanges, etc.

There are a whole mess of WBC deeds on ebay right now from reputable sellers. The key is to look at the seller detailed feedback rating, and make sure that they have positive feedback from previous timeshare sales. If you want to be extra careful you can send the seller an ebay message asking for a copy of the estoppel letter. All the reputable sellers will have one they can send you that will verify the ownership. That said, since WBC deeds are so cheap (you should be able to get it for less than $700 which is closing costs, so really free), you are risking very little money if the deal goes sideways.

I started with a WBC 252,000 point deed as my first one because we wanted to make sure we had that ARP, and then as we got comfortable with the system and saw what was available within 10 months, we started adding on other cheaper maintenance fee contracts. The dues on a 2 bedroom WBC room for a week are still significantly cheaper than the dues at a 2 bedroom DVC room for a week, so it's still a great deal.

Again though, I would plan on buying soon (like within the next week or two) if you want to guarantee that you get 2025 points.

I’m looking to add more points through a resale purchase. It’s been awhile and some things have changed since I last purchased a resale; Is it better now to purchase Wyndham Access or a Plus Resort at a specified location.

Thanks!

And there are 9 BC contracts on ebay at the moment, including a couple over 300k points. There seem to be two 300k+ points contracts being sold by the same broker that both have January use years, the OP wants to book Presidential units, those would be good ones to pick up. No use year matching drama and should get this UY points with only having to pay about 6-7 months of MF. Both of these you just have to pay transfer fees.
