I don't know unit numbers but the building configuration at Onshore is way different. There are separate entrances (lobbies), each with an elevator that serves two units. The 2BR unit we stayed was in the in the West Wind building and had a balcony at each end. One faced north, one faced south. The North Wind building being renovated -- lots of construction. I can't help with the other buildings or where units of different sizes are located. We were very happy with our unit in West Wind.

We were there Thanksgiving Week 2021, hardly prime time in Newport, but the seafood and chowdah are still superb. I'm retired Navy and spent time in Newport four or five times in my early career. Thus, we had access to the commissary to pick up fruit, etc. If you have access to the Navy Base, that's about the only thing useful there. The Officers' Club used to be a very popular hangout with a great dining room and lounge. Now it seems to be only for catered events like weddings. Today's modern Navy.

We got there late and had to check in at Inn on the Harbor. We're good at arriving late, even at places that are only two hours from home!

We stayed there last November. We were in the Westwind building right along the water. Balcony overlooked the marina. I loved sitting out on the balcony hearing the water lap the boats. It was very relaxing.

Thanks for your answers, so, are there Units that don't face the water?

Eastwind has one side facing the water and one side facing town. It’s set back from the water a bit. South wind view can be a little blocked but you will see the water.

i edited my posts because i confused north and south wind. See the map posted above.

We were in North wind over spring break. Construction was done. We were in East over Christmas when it was still going on.

Just wanted to pop back in and thank everyone for their input - we ended up in the Northwind building (we just went with the luck of the draw.) Not a full on view but we are more than happy. There is some construction going on about 100 yards away, but generally really really happy!

thanks again.

Oh and not even a hint of wanting to do any kind of presentation - very happy about that!

Glad to hear you are having a great experience!

Given it's a smaller resort location - does it even have a sales team onsite to hold sales update meetings?

Pretty sure this is exactly it - they don't even keep the front desk open past 5 PM

We just left. We were in unit 131. Remodeled and right on the harbor.

Cool! we are in 231 - will need a remodel soon but still in very good shape. By the way, we found that there really wasn't good light in the unit - literally not a ceiling fixture except the kitchen and bath - how was yours? have they rememdied this?

The whole resort is like that. Hard to find a good reading spot with adequate lighting. Minor short coming and opinion depending on where you come from and what you are used to. I find that it is a New England thing, a preponderance of floor and table lamps and a lack of overhead lighting. I imagine a Victorian parlour lit by oil or kerosene lamps and then re-imagine those lamps replaced by electric ones gives a fair representation.

Myself, coming from a place where the norm was a ceiling light in each room and little else in the way of lighting fixtures, I don't like it either.
