My extended family is interested in having our semi-annual vacation at Club Wyndham Lake of the Ozarks next summer using my in-laws Wyndham points.

I am wondering if anyone has insight on how difficult this resort is to book during the summer? We typically need a total of 6-bedrooms- so the preference would be 2- 3BR units since that is usually more points effective than 3-2BR units. I see they have 3-bedrooms here but wondering how many and if i will realistically be able to book 2 of them at the 10-month mark? We will likely be trying to stay a Sunday-Friday so maybe not needing the weekend could improve my odds?

Any other thoughts on this resort? Or on the area in general? I have never been and don't know a ton about it. (My brother in law is stationed in Missouri and we are trying to plan a trip closer to him for once since in the past he has always had to travel the furthest for these trips since all the rest of the family is in Ohio.)

Can't offer much in the way of booking insights, but we have stayed there several times, most recently in August '20 as it's only 2-3 hours away.

The "Wyndham" is inventory in a Worldmark resort. If the in-laws are eligible Club Pass members, they may be able to use their points directly for Worldmark inventory instead of only accessing inventory designated for Wyndham owners.
Resort is built on the side of a hill (like most Lake resorts) so having a mountain goat mentality and stamina helps. There is a swimming dock.
Not much for amenities except a pool and a game room. Almost everything was still closed when we were there (C19 panic).
Parking is extremely cramped. Avoid bringing the "land yacht", it you can. It's just easier with a small vehicle.
If you have a boat, no docks or ramp. There's a marina nearby they send you to (fee for ramping and slip). There is (tight) parking for trailers/boats onsite near the condo buildings.
Location is just off the main channel near the Hwy 54 bridge. Expect rough water any weekend when the drunks are out partying. Weekdays are usually okay on the water.
About two miles from the "Strip". A vehicle is pretty much mandatory.

Thanks for the insight! They are resale Wyndham owners, so no Club Pass. I'll have to keep a eye on it in the meantime and see what availability shows up.

We stay here every year.. the number of units is limited. You need to be flexible on what you are looking for and book 9-10 months out.
