After only a couple of years as being operated by Iberostar the hotel at Son Antem is to close on 7th January and reopen on 20th January with new management.

It is no surprise, as when Marriott ceased operating the hotel, it appeared to be struggling and the occupancy fell dramatically (even during high season).

Does anyone know who the new operators are? I would be great if it reverted back to a Marriott.

Wow, that really was a short lived Management period for Iberostar.
As you say, they started with very poor guest numbers and although these seemed to perk up to some extent (with for example regular Deloitte conferences) I did wonder how long they might last.
Presumably they failed to achieve the Key Performance Indicators they were set by the owner?
It would indeed be wonderful if Marriott took over again.
I will see if I can find out anything more.

More uncertainty. Just what Son Antem owners do not need. It would be nice if it went back to being a Marriott but I guess that is unlikely.
