Is there DVD or VCR? Any specific room location that I should request? I will be going with a toddler. We are thinking of sitting through a timeshare presenation at Westin. Is it agressive or laid back presentation?

I don't think that there are any DVD or VCR players in the rooms. So bring your own portable DVD player. Ask for a room with an unobstructed view of the ocean. There are plenty; if you don't get the room you want, just ask to change. They are very accomodating. Also, try to get a room on the "street" level. There are lots of steps up or down if you don't. I think 2217-2218 were great rooms. As for the timeshare presentation, it is somewhat aggressive. But don't listen to them when they tell you that the offer is only good until you leave the room. LEAVE THE ROOM! If you want to buy there, check out the TUG classifieds and Redweek.com. You will be able to buy the exact same thing for about 1/3 the price! It is truly a wonderful resort.

Is there laundry facilities (washer and dryer) in the unit? If not, where can I do laundry. I don't want to pick too much stuff. Can you also rent DVD or VCR from the resort? I can't leave home without Barney's DVD or VCR for my toddler. Otherwise, I will have to buy a portable DVD player.

There are a few laundry facilities conveniently located around the resort. They are free, but you need to buy detergent which is available in the little store near the members' pool. I suggest that you buy a portable DVD player; perhaps you can call ahead and ask if they can put a VCR or DVD in your room. I've always found them to be extremely accomodating. I do remember that there were a couple of cartoon/kids' channels on the TV. Don't expect much from the TV, though, there aren't many channels (and some are in Spanish).
