This place is great. It's very quiet and laid back. It has become one of my favorite timeshares. The staff friendliness and helpfulness rivals the best I've experienced on any type of vacation anywhere.

I didn't take any pictures, but will do a review in a day or two. There are a few quiet kids here, but I think overall, this is a good resort for people who don't have young kids. It's a huge contrast to Marriott DSV. I found DSV to be very busy and full of families and on the loud side. CI feels much more like what I'd expect at a spa resort, but they don't have a spa.

There's a huge sales center, but it is closed. No one trying to sell anything right now. An owner said it will take a few months to transition to Diamond Resorts and then the sales department will be back in business. If everything else stays the same, this will be my go to spot in Palm Desert area.

Spoiler alert - I'll be giving it a 9.

I agree. We were there in Nov and loved the place. Hope things don't change when DRI takes over.

I did a drive by when staying at a different resort in Palm Springs. It seemed really nice and I think some units have a fireplace on the patio.

I agree about the Marriott. The pool is a zoo and you have to get chairs at 7 am.

I originally wrote that I hope Diamond doesn't ruin it, but removed it before posting as I was worried it would offend some readers. Diamond owners tend to be very happy with the resorts. I can't really imagine it being anything less than it's current state.

You always have good taste!

Our 2 bedroom lockout had gas fireplaces on both sides on the patios. I think maybe all rooms have it. At least from what I could see, all the downstairs units did. I didn't go upstairs and look around, but I really wanted to. The upstairs units have outdoor showers. :whoopie:

I hope we will still get inventory in HGVC. This time, I was on an exchange with my Shell points, but I don't plan on having those much longer.

We had a 2-bed unit here a year or so ago. I thought it was quite nice but the living area was very small compared to other resorts. Also, laundry facilities are shared in each building, which wasn't a big deal but definitely different than Marriott or Starwood, etc. The best part of the resort was that it was quiet.
