Club Chalet Board Meeting 03/17/06

The affiliation of Club Chalet of Gatlinburg with Interval International at this time, if any, remains in question. Many Redweeks under Interval are now White or Blue in the RCI system.

Over 10% of the owners at Club Chalet have called for a Special Meeting of the Board of Directors in Gatlinburg on 03/17/06 at 8:00 a.m., one hour before the Regular Quarterly Board Meeting is scheduled. I am of the understanding that some members of the Board, perhaps a few of those involved in the running of Club Chalet for years, are actually attempting to derail any organized inquiry on the part of the owners. I hope any owners who might not have known about this will also request this meeting and attend if possible. If you cannot attend this meeting I can advise you about how to get and sign a Proxy allowing someone to vote in your stead. I admit that I wasn't that excited about them dual-affiliating with RCI anyhow. I've been a member of each, and much more satisfied with II than RCI. YMMV, of course.

If things go sour with II, that WILL be a big deal to me.

I am interested to see what will happen in light of all the questions posted by the letter we received in the mail. Interesting times ahead, no doubt. I owned at Ocean Landings some years ago when there was a huge uproar over various issues, but things calmed down in a year or two and went back to normal.

I don't even know how our resort is managed, to tell you the truth. Do we hire the manager, and then she hires the staff? Is it a "management company" with which we've contracted? If so, how long are we obligated to keep them?
