biometric kiosks in airport security lines, incl a membership called Clear+. seems the ticker is "YOU" for some play on the theme of biometrics. Had no idea they are public. YOU is up a lot, so now down 25%. Which cards is it tht pay for this membership?

My AMEX Aspire pays for it. It really isn't that great. You walk up to the clear thing and immediately Clear workers are taking you here and there. My wife got in the TSA pre line and I got in Clear and she beat me through.

I have had Clear for years, since it first came out shortly after 9/11. I used to almost always save time, now its debatable how much time it saves..

It works for some MLB games as well.

Yeah, I'm sure Clear can save you some time in some places. At SeaTac which is usually a mess the regular TSA PreCheck line is very efficient and moves nicely. People have a clue and the x-ray machines move pretty fast. Clear really doesn't save you much time and isn't worth the yearly fee.

When the TSA agents see my wife walk up with her cane they usher us through pre-check. Recently flying back from Vancouver she got first class treatment through customs from Air Canada workers, the best ever, those Canucks sure are nice folks. They wheeled her through customs then a golf cart ride to the gate, with a stop at Tim Hortons for coffee and a donut.

That’s really excellent. TSA Pre has been a bust for us. My wife is full time wheelchair, it travels with us. TSA Pre is never ready for “female assist”, which is required to pat down a woman in a wheelchair. We always wait 10 plus minutes for a female agent to arrive. But I don’t have to take my shoes off!🤣

I was having issues with Clear when I first joined, I kept getting selected for secondary screening. I have found it better lately. In fact in traveling through Vancouver recently, I found that between Clear / TSA precheck, and Global Entry, I got through Clear for ID check, TSA security screening and US Customs in about 6 minutes, which I think is super quick.

I did wish that they would deal with Clear with TSA Precheck and those with Clear only and NO precheck better. They use of the same machines and same Clear employees, but it is not efficient and it is unclear why they allow one line to proceed while they are holding up the Clear TSA Precheck line (which I am using).
