Clarification - Rules on re-trading an AC ?

Yesterday I called II and re-traded a Cypress Harbor unit that I had booked with an AC for a Beach Club studio. The studio week matched up exactly with a BCV 1 BR week that I had booked, so this would allow us to stay at the same property for two weeks in a row. I paid the second AC fee for the re-trade.

This morning I woke up to find that a BCV 1 BR had been deposited for the same week as the studio that I had booked yesterday. I thought I had read on these boards that you could only re-trade an AC once, but I know I have also read that it never hurts to call (and sometimes re-call) II and try, so I locked the unit up online until they opened and called them at 9 ET. When I called, the II rep not only allowed me to re-trade into the 1 BR, but she also refunded the fee that I paid yesterday, since I had called back within 24 hours, and only charged me the fee for today's re-trade.

So now I am confused about what the rules are on two issues-

1. Is it true that you can only re-trade an AC once - i.e. - did I just get lucky today, or can you re-trade more than once (even though it does get costly)?

2. Is it true that you get the 24 cancellation period on an AC? Other II reps have told me that the 24 hour cancellation period does not apply to an AC. So did I just get lucky again, or can I count on a 24 hour period when booking with an AC?

Thanks for all of your help. The folks on this board are an amazing source of information.

Yes, ACs get the 24 hour cancellation period. I booked a week with my AC and cancelled within the 24 hours. They placed the AC back into my as it was before the booking.

Congrats on your upgrade.
