Three Chinese firms including a sovereign (govt) firm are interested in bidding for the Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc. The Chinese government will probably step in to insure that the companies do not overheat competition by bidding against each other.

What effect this might have on SVN is unknown. If it's any consolation, the Great Wall Sheraton in Beijing is a really nice hotel.

It's a transfer of Renminbi to USD. Little else is likely to change.
So Smithfield sausages and foods taste different since the Chinese purchase?

You are addressing the purchase of Smithfield Packaging Company in Virginia, a few years ago by the Chinese.

Yes I am. Just as in the last century the US went out and purchased assets across the globe, this century it is the Chinese. The one before had a good bit if British imperialism.
