I have read lots about Morritt's, and we will be there in April 2009.

I am excited to go, but I am a little nervous about having a 12 yr old girl there.

It doesn't seem like the crowd that goes there have children.

Is this true or am I mistaken?

I hope not! I'll be there Easter week with my five year-old. Grand Cayman is, overall, fairly child-friendly. I would also be interested in hearing from folks who have been to Morritts about its kid-friendliness.

When we were at Morritt's during the summer, there were plenty of kids, all ages. We were also there during Dec. and May, and there weren't as many kids. So, I would assume if it's a vacation week, that your daughter wouldn't be alone....

Don't think there will be a lack of other children. It is a fairly large resort and there always seems to be people of all ages. Enjoy!

Worry not. We were there last March with 9 and 13 year old boys. There were enough other kids around too. They enjoyed the activities at the resort and we were actually Family Feud champs at the pool!

We were there in June 2007 with then 13 year old and 7 year old kids. It was absolutely most favorite vacation of theirs! As much as they loved Hawaii this year, they both still beg me to go back to Grand Cayman. They had a blast.

We were there in July. The resort wasn't crowded, but there were plenty of kids and young teenagers. One of the pools is really set up for kids, fairly shallow, very big, with different areas to play in.

Morritt's is very child friendly. THis is actually my son's favorite vacation spot, he is 13. The entire island is great for children in my opinion. Enjoy.

Each of our kids(17 and 10 at the time) took a friend in March and the kids all had a great time.

The girls felt they were too old for the kids classes but I did send them one day. There were 5 in the group that day all their same age so they had a great time. Each day they had games around the pool or the beach. They had an Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday and even the older kids got involved and had a great time.

There are wave runners for rent on-site, trips to sting ray city and scuba classes as well. All of which we did while there. My daughter and I actually came home and took our local scuba class she had such a great experience diving while there. We also did a Kayak Safari which was advertised locally. Included in that trip were the kayaks, snorkel equipment, snacks and a guided tour. Informative and fun!

We also took the kids to Rum Point for the day where they met up with a group of kids and played volleyball for the afternoon. Another day we spent in Georgetown, the turtle farm and Hell.

I think you guys will have a great time!

Cindy
