Anyone ever travel from the Rivera Maya/Grand Mayan to Chichen Itza? I wanted to take a day trip but I also don't want to drive. Looking for any recommendations on transport and or things to do once there.

My main priority would be the ruins but I also want to go to this natural swimming area I found on TA.

Thanks in advance!

The resort offers tour which includes both Chichen Itza and a cenote. Price is quite reasonable. You may find a cheaper one by booking yourself but the saving probably is not too significant.

I have used Flavio tours and was very impressed. Pick-up at hotel, entire day tour to ruins with a wonderful guide, plus stop at a cenote to swim, plus stop at a colonial town with buffet lunch included for $150. Flavio is a native and a wonderful guide. See site below.

We went on the same tour as Lisa. We booked the tour at the Grand Mayan. It included the cenote stop with time to go swimming, a good lunch buffet with show, and of course Chichen Itza. It was well worth it.

I'm a big travel-forum-junkie, and I can't say I have ever heard two people in one thread extolling the virtues of resort or cruise ship excursions. :) So it must be pretty great.
