IMHO...this is good news as I found Expedia to be more expensive than the old Chase portal deals. Time to start accumulating Chase Rewards again.

Good news, once I start flying again.

I have been using Chase UR for the 50% bonus on food purchases lately. Since I normally save up my points to travel, but am sitting on 400K of points I decided to use some on the 50% bonus they have been offering, in lieu of travel.

Now if only AMEX would find a better way with the Airline Credits. I am going to have to buy either a seat pass, baggage pass or likely United Club Day passes, to eat up my $250 credit in the next 2 days.

Not sure what you ended up doing with your Amex airline credit, I usually buy United Club passes with mine, but i ended up with a bunch of 2020 passes being extended to 2021. I was trying to figure out what to do, and read on FB that United Travel bank purchases work.

I purchased $150 in travel bank funds on Dec 30th, just got the credit posted to my account today. I am probably going to spend some or all of my Amex airline credit on UA travel bank again this year too.

Worth trying the travel bank, thanks.
