Now that Marriott and Starwood are one big family, I don’t think I still need both credit cards. If I want to have only one card, which one should I keep? For paying maintenance fees, is it any different using one over the other? I do own weeks in both systems.

If you use the free Category 5 night that you receive with each card I would keep both cards. That what we are doing and we have received a room that has far more value than the annual fee for each card.

I believe you also want to pay the MVC MF’s with the Marriott card and the Vistana MF’s with the the SPG card so you maximize the number of points you receive. Unless they have updated the policy you don’t get the same benefit if you cross over with the use of credit cards.

Best regards.

Mike
