Ok, I screwed up a reservation on the new computer booking system after being kicked out 4 times.
I talked to Cindy at HGVC and she told me I would lose my points for her to fix it!
WTF! I think we are all getting robbed by this BS from Hilton!
I let them know when I just did a Owners Update!
I basically said until they change their screwed up way of doing things I wasn't interested in anything else!
I think we should all take that tack!

I love Hilton Overall, but this is one area that is not right in my opinion!

Since you made the reservation online, its also changeable online
(not by phone), up to one day before check-in. The Guide says that.
Thus, you could try to rectify the situation by changing it online.

Changes within 30 days of your stay will invoke a penalty if you
reduce the number of points being used (also in the Guide), so...

(1) Make a change that uses [the same] or more points, or
(B) If you really do want to cancel...
-- move your reservation more than 30 days out;
-- then cancel (losing only your reservation fee)
-- or make another change.

I made them less than 30 days out.
I just changed my airfare, it was cheaper!
Its too complicated to explain what I did, because honestly I am still trying to figure it out myself!
I needed two reservations to make it work and since I would need two instead of the one I made, it was going to total more points together but each was less than the one I made to begin with!

When you spend a lot of money you have far more chances to get jilted!
Those who never travel and have no money have nothing to worry about!

I deal with many great companies, sometimes companies start out great and loose their way!
IBM,Sears, Xerox etc!
