We were called by San Diego Pulse, wanted us to sign up for a "video" presentation. They said they are rolling out "changes" to the vacation club points usage, etc, etc, etc. All takes effect Jan 1....anyone heard of any of the changes?

Sounds like sales lips are moving. If there was an official change relating to Club Points we would have seen correspondence from corporate.

They only want some money to change hands.

There’s nothing new under the sun. They always tell us they need to keep us up to date on all the changes that have taken place, then it turns out I know more than they know.

When something significant does change, you’ll read it here long before a salesman tells you about it.

I will add that the presentation I attended at Westin Riverfront was very low pressure and they even let me think about my offer for a few days.

I heard a similar thing before I went to a presentation 2 weeks ago and the change is that they're adding a bunch more hotels where you can use your club points at generally an unattractive rate. They keep trumpeting it as a game changer of some sort but it's really no different than all the other non-timeshare point usage options where you could often pay less using cash rather the value of the points used to book them.

That is the FOMO sales approach. There are no changes to how the program works. They are going to pitch that the owner levels will change "soon" and they don't want you to miss out on getting grandfathered in. Yawn. When there is a threshold change for levels, the company will make sure to let everyone know, not just those who go to sales pitches.
