Changes / New Benefits to Points Program ???

We just returned from Grande Ocean on Hilton Head Island. After we checked in, the concierge was trying to get us to attend a presentation. I told her we already owned several Marriott timeshares and already enrolled in the points program, and we didn't need to attend.

She then said that there have been several changes made to the program, including new benefits for owners, new levels (platinum, etc.), and new reservation booking windows. I told her I would just read about it on the website. Well, I can't seem to find the changes she was referring to.

Can somebody point me in the right direction.

I am at the monarch. Cancelled a presentation visit for this past Sunday. Against my better judgement I rescheduled for tomorrow. I can't wait.

We did a tour (had time to kill and my wife wanted Spa money.

As we sat down I explained that I was only there to learn what the changes were. Got him to bring up the info and then asked tons of questions.

By the time we were done with that he only had a few minutes to start his sale, I looked at my watch and explained we were near the time limit and we had an appointment.

He was very nice, brought in the manager to do the encore sales and we were out on time.

If I have time, I don't mind using these meetings as a chance to get information for me (of course with a big BS filter on.)

I have never had issues with sales rep and I have always started by being honest about why I was there. Maybe I have been lucky, but I have never had a bad tour.
