Change of reservation on HGVC with saved 2026 points

Hi ! I made a reservation with saved 2026 points and paid booking fee for Grand Islander for July 27-July 31. I now want to change the reservation to Lagoon tower but I am getting an error that the change is not allowed due to payment method. Not sure why? any insight on how I can change my reservation? First I've seen this error.
 
You can't change reservations within 61 days of the stay. You can cancel and rebook outside 30 days though.
 
Yes. You can call CS and see if they will change the reservation for free though... They may but don't have to.
