I am planning to travel with my 2 seven year old twin sons to San Francisco this summer. I deposited my home resort week (floating week studio that sleeps 4 at Club Casa Dorada Spa & Golf Resort in Cabo) and put in an ongoing request a couple of months ago. I'm not too picky about the dates, but I noticed several of the TS there only accommodate 2 people max.

What are the odds this exchange will come through? Should I book a hotel room as a backup? I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Lisa

Who did you deposit with? SFX sometimes has summer units (mainly studios tho) that come up about 3 months beforehand.

Odds are very high in SFX. I am not sure about the other exchange companies.

I put a sleeps 4 SF request in SFX a couple weeks ago and it came through in a couple days.

By no means an expert on Mexican timeshares, Interval or San Francisco but hey, you get what you pay for when you ask, right?

I'd say your chances are not that great with II, frankly, unless you can take something last minute. Not that many timeshares to begin with in Interval, and you may have a trade power issue. The general feeling is that Mexican timeshares do not have super good trade power, I believe.

Personally, I'd rent or reserve something, if you're set on going, that you can cancel and hope something comes through.

Again, just my .02 worth.

definitely put a backup plan in place as summer will be here in just a couple months! Good luck to you and the twins!
