Hi Tuggers,
We just booked a week at Celebrity Resorts at Palm Coast (formerly Harbor Club at Palm Coast) for January 2009. I was surprised that they charge a nightly fee of $3.99 for the resort. I called them and was told this is for internet, phone, parking and cots. Since I would not be using any of these I suggested that the fee be waived, but of course they did not agree. Have any of you stayed at Palm Coast lately?
We went there in 1997 and had a nice time. If anyone has stayed there recently, please let me know. I read some of the reviews and was a bit concerned that the resort may have declined since I last was there. Thanks for your assistance. TerryC

August 2007

We were there in August 2007. The units, we had 2, were okay. Nothing really fancy, but clean and functional. One of the washers didn't work right and they were very prompt repairing it. We also locked ourselves out of one of the units, and they were fast responding to that. We enjoyed the pool complex except on weekends when local owners seemed to use it and it was crowded and parking taken up. Don't remember paying a fee. That must be something new. We would return. Hope this helps some.

We own there and stayed there last December 2007. They were starting to refurbish the units. The resort fee came as a surprise to me, too, but I did use their computer and internet service, as opposed to paying to have a service in the unit for use on our laptop as I wasn't planning to do much on line.
Externally, nothing had been done that was noticeable from our previous visit, although I know the roof tops had been cleaned. It was fine though, the unit was clean and they would be absolutely great if totally refurbished, as in solid surface countertops, etc.etc., because they're spacious and have large patios.
