Just when you thought it was almost safe to go outside...

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has warned of “unusual or aggressive” behavior in American rats as a consequence of more than two months of human lockdown for city-dwelling rodents who now find themselves unable to dine out on restaurant waste, street garbage and other food sources.

Last month, according to the national health body, dumpster-diving rats were observed resorting to eating their young in the wake of urban shutdowns.

That is not unusual rodent behavior.

When our kids were young, we had hamster's and at any sign of stress, that's what the mother would do to the babies.

This is an odd story because with all the kids & adults at home (cooking & snacking) and the stay in order regulations in place across the United States. I feel there should be more food trash for rodents to live off. IMO.

I would think that there is more food waste with restaurants than at home. I haven't thrown out any food which we have here in the house, cooked or not.

To deter pests, we hold our food waste until trash day and only put it out then. Only the ROUS in the dump are getting fat from our house.

The Restaurants should be paid to buy and then dump food. Even Rats deserve minimal care. :ROFLMAO:  :whooopie:
