I just reserved a 2 bedroom 6/8 from RCI beginning on 9/8 of this year. I have read here that our unit will be the townhome shown on their website photos. Can anyone give me more info about the resort? Is there a view of the lake? We plan on bringing our boat, what are the docking fees? Other than fishing, what is there to do? I have wanted to exchange into this resort for a long time and am so excited that I finally got it!!
Thanks for any information!

Can you please post how your trip goes. I was thinking of going there sometime
Also. I think all the town homes have lake views but I'm not positive. I have
Friends that snowmobile and I heard that resort is great for that also. I'm sure
You'll have a great time.

We don't own at Causeway but have stayed there a few times. They do have some newer units that are quite far away from the water, but they don't look like the units pictured on the website. I prefer the style shown on the website. When we stayed there a few years ago, my son brought his boat but didn't have to pay a fee. You may need to contact them to reserve a spot for your boat. Some units are closer to water than others. Because of all the trees, you won't be able to see the water from some units. None of the units are right on the water. The unit sit on a hill above the lake. We enjoy the spacious units at the Causeway.

There's a fun little town of Nisswa that you have to go to. The coffee shop by the public restrooms have the best scones and coffee drinks. There are many cute shops in town. There are several good restaurants in the area. If you like wine, there is wine tasting at the Grandview Resort close to Causeway.

We will be staying at Causeway for a week in late August/early September but will be leaving a few days before you arrive.

Be sure to check out the turtle races in Nisswa if you're bringing kids with you. You "rent" a turtle for the race, then get to cheer yours on. (It's like crab races, they put them all in a large circle and the first one to walk out is the winner.) My kids thought it was great.

Thanks for the input. Nice to know there are no fees for our boat. Does anyone know if we can request a specific unit prior to arrival? If you can, any suggestions?
