We don't own at Causeway but have stayed there a few times. They do have some newer units that are quite far away from the water, but they don't look like the units pictured on the website. I prefer the style shown on the website. When we stayed there a few years ago, my son brought his boat but didn't have to pay a fee. You may need to contact them to reserve a spot for your boat. Some units are closer to water than others. Because of all the trees, you won't be able to see the water from some units. None of the units are right on the water. The unit sit on a hill above the lake. We enjoy the spacious units at the Causeway.
There's a fun little town of Nisswa that you have to go to. The coffee shop by the public restrooms have the best scones and coffee drinks. There are many cute shops in town. There are several good restaurants in the area. If you like wine, there is wine tasting at the Grandview Resort close to Causeway.
We will be staying at Causeway for a week in late August/early September but will be leaving a few days before you arrive.
