Just spent a week here and thought the resort was great until check-out time when we were informed about the $84 activity fees. What activities?
We did the information breakfast
Sangria drink
Ice cream float
All for only $84.
I would understand during the summer because they loan out all kinds of beach equipment and if all the activities were free but come on, this is just another way to rip us off.
The part that really urked us is we saw in one of their papers that it said the activity fees were $40. We also had them tell us check out time was 10am yet again found a print out that said 11am.
Shouldn't we have a choice on the activities and what we are willing to pay?

I would request ane explanation from the manager. Also check if you came in through RCI - did it have any statement on your reservation form? I like this resort a lot and if I were you I would pursue it - if only to get an answer. Funtime

At a stay at Summer Bay DC a year or so ago, we used points (generated by our unit there) to stay three nights and had a few small issues. When we went to check out they attempted to charge for a $75 cleaning fee which sent my wife into a snarl with them. After complaining about every little thing and problem they waived the fee, mostly to get her out of there.

Squeaky wheel getting greased and all. I would definitely complain as that's a stupid fee.

CSR has a daily resort fee which includes parking, internet, newspaper, coffee in lobby, fitness center, beach toys, and activities. Normally they inform you via RCI and at check-in. It is not supposed to be a surprise when you check out.

Owners get the fees waived even when exchanging in.

Is the waiver only for Seapointe owners or any GPR owner? I know I had my fees waived at CI when I exchanged in (I own there) but I have another exchange to Seapointe this summer-so I was just wondering.

The fee is waived only for the resort that you own at.

We were wrong. We did see the charge of $40 for points owners and weeks it is $12 a day which is the $84 we paid. We should have read further but stopped after seeing the $40 which would be fine. $84 seems a bit much for what you get. newspaper is .92 a day if there (saw it there 4 days), did use internet, parking, and the few activities I mentioned above. Bring our own coffee, not many 60+ play with toys on the beach especially in Oct/Nov., could have used fitness center but too busy away from resort.
Either way, the price was there and we missed it, my mistake.
